It opens with a personal reflection on my own mixed upbringing, supported by family photographs and generational context. From there, it is structured into thematic chapters based on the three data groupings. Each spread highlights an individual’s assigned visual tile, accompanied by quotes and personal reflections. My goal was to humanize the data–transforming numbers into meaningful dialogue. Through this, In the Grey explores what it means to belong, to inherit, and to reconnect with culture, while embracing the spaces in between.
